HPO at Dutch Embassy in Abu Dhabi (UAE)

On April 27, the birthday of King Willem-Alexander, the Dutch celebrate king’s day. In the Netherlands, that mean street parties all over the country and people dressed in the Netherland’s National color, orange. It makes for a wonderful ‘party’ atmosphere and fun for all, young and old.

The Dutch Embassy in Abu Dhabi, UAE, celebrated the event in a very special way and invited more than 300 people from among high government officials, the diplomatic community, Abu Dhabi business and Chamber of Commerce, the National Investment Commission, NGO’s and member of the Dutch community at the Westin Abu Dhabi Gold Resort & Spa on Wednesday April 26th, 2017.

Frank Mollen, Ambassador, Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Abu Dhabi, started the event with a short presentation where he expressed his appreciation to the attendees for making the celebration a success and presented the economic and commercial relations between the Netherlands and the UAE. His excellency named few important Dutch companies that are operating in the UAE in several sectors along with their activities, such as Shell, Unilever, Philips and ABN AMRO in addition to many Dutch SMEs that are trying to make use of the positive business climate in the UAE. He also highlighted several agreements between the Netherlands and the UAE at different levels.

After the presentation, guests enjoyed the Dutch traditional food stalls from French fries to original Dutch cheese to Waffles and much more along with drinks and the live music that kept the party going for more than couple of hours.
